Job Summary

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will work closely with the Managing Director on all of the company’s online and offline marketing and sales effort. The ideal candidate will have an educational background in marketing or business with 1+ years of related experience in a marketing and event coordination role. From social media communications to event execution, this is a great opportunity for someone who is creative, outgoing, self-directed and who likes to make a difference with their work! As the Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will play a key role to the company’s marketing, event planning and business development activities. This is a intermediate position with the possibility for fast promotion to managerial position or the right person



  •       Manage, design and write content on company website, social media and in print to promote UHUBOR, and help grow awareness of UHUBOR as we expand into new territories
  •       Managing company’s WeChat group
  •       Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the platform
  •       Build positive, on-going relationships with local businesses, schools, teams and community organizations
  •       Plan and execute marketing strategies and tactics to help drive sales in the community
  •       Identify and capitalize on key opportunities in the community to raise the profile of the brand
  •       Research companies and organizations to create relationships for possible partnerships
  •       Interact with businesses to obtain feedback on events
  •       Conduct audience research and competition research to improve marketing strategy
  •       Build effective adwords, facebook, google+, linkedin campaigns/ads
  •       Measure engagement on social media, web visit and report progress

Event Coordination

  •       Oversee event activities including marketing, invitations, agendas, scheduling, process, production schedules and onsite supervision fo volunteers or part-time workers
  •       Plan, research, source, arrange and coordinate all creative logistical elements as required for event booth
  •       Coordinate logistics for sponsored events and manage partner relationships
  •       Represent UHUBOR at industry association and client events
  •       Organize social events for our employees, such as Christmas dinner

Business Development

  •       Prepare PPT and other marketing Materials for potential clients or business partners
  •       Compile and follow up on client
  •       Organize business meetings and provide administrative support
  •       Other tasks as per assignment

Administrative support

  •       Create meeting Agendas and help the Managing Director with file organizations and support

Skills and Qualifications

  •       1+ years of experience in a marketing and event coordination role
  •       Excellent Written and spoken Mandarin skills with experienced with Chinese social media platform
  •       Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; experience curating original content
  •       Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  •       Knowledge about adobe creative suite, video editing skills a plus
  •       Proven ability to lead and organize events, recruit and lead volunteers
  •       Professional writing style, ability to send correspondence on behalf of Manager
  •       Ability to drive projects independently while working closely, and in collaboration with the team and Manager
  •       Works well under pressure, able to meet deadlines in a calm manner and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  •       Stakeholder management – ability to work with, understand and support various stakeholders, clients and vendors with emphasis on superior customer service
  •       Experience with email marketing campaigns and software tools
  •       Experience with WordPress
  •       Experience with social media marketing including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google+ as well as Google AdWords and Google analytics, WeChat a Plus
  •       Self-motivated, resourceful, and detail oriented
  •       Take ownership of one’s own work and a can-do attitude
  •       Proven ability to approach members of the public in a friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing manner
  •       Available to work a flexible schedule, which may include occasional evenings and weekends
  •       Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract is required
  •       Mandarin writing and speaking skills a plus, experience operating Chinese social media channels such as WeChat,Webo a plus
